Waqf Adalats to Address Land Encroachment and Other Issues Monthly

Bidar: Housing, Waqf, and Minority Welfare Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan announced that Waqf Adalats will be held in three districts every month to address grievances related to the encroachment of Waqf land and other issues. The aim is to understand the problems faced by the people and provide timely solutions.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Waqf Adalat organized by the Department of Minority Welfare, Haj, and Waqf, along with the Karnataka State Auqaf Board, in Bidar on Monday, Minister Khan said, "For the first time, a Waqf Adalat is being held in Bidar district. We have received a total of 178 representations related to khata, graveyard land, and other issues. I will hold a meeting with officials to discuss these matters and resolve them. If there is no burial ground in Muslim-dominated areas and government land is available there, it can be allocated for this purpose."
Minister Khan also announced the construction of Haj Bhavans at four locations in the state, including Kalaburagi and Mangaluru. He emphasized the importance of protecting Waqf properties.
"We will not allow encroachments," he declared.
The Minister assured that all applications received today will be treated as a first priority, and address all problems presented."
Municipal Administration and Haj Minister Rahim Khan praised the initiative.
MLC Abdul Jabbar highlighted the widespread issue of Waqf property encroachment. He stressed, "It is our biggest responsibility to provide solutions to all these problems."
