Keralam GAD Website Hacked, Suspected Pakistani Group Claims Responsibility

Thiruvananthapuram: The official website of the Keralam government’s General Administration Department (GAD) was hacked on Sunday morning by a group claiming to be from Pakistan, officials said.
A Pakistani flag and a message claiming responsibility for the hack on behalf of “Team Blackleets” were posted on the website, along with a slogan hailing Pakistan.
“We are Pakistani hackers. Every day, many websites have been hacked; today is your day,” the message read.
The hosting provider suspended the account after the breach was detected, officials said.
A cyber team is examining whether any data was compromised. The website will be restored once it is secure, they said.
The department will shortly lodge a complaint with the cyber police seeking an investigation, officials added.
The Kerala State IT Mission operates key Keralam government websites and e-governance programmes.
