Man-Eater Tiger Found Dead in Wayanad
Priyanka to visit Wayanad on Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: A man-eater tiger that killed a woman two days ago was found dead in Kerala's Wayanad district in the early hours of Monday.
Forest teams engaged in round-the-clock search operations discovered the tiger dead with deep injuries on its neck inside the Pilakavu Estate by 2:30 am on Monday. The tiger had killed 46-year-old Radha, an Adivasi woman, who had gone to a nearby estate to collect coffee beans, which triggered massive protests in the district.
The forest department had declared the tiger a "man-eater" and ordered its culling. The seven-year-old female tiger had deep injuries on its neck that are suspected to have been sustained in the forest. Forest officials believe a fight with another tiger might have caused the injuries.
Forest Minister A.K. Saseendran stated that the tiger's death has brought relief to the people living in the high ranges who were in a state of panic following Radha's killing. The minister also mentioned that intense monitoring will be conducted in the area to prevent wild animal attacks on humans in the area.
