Thiruvananthapuram: A photoshoot by Kerala policemen at the Pathinettam Padi (18 holy steps) at the Sabarimala temple's Sannidhanam has sparked a major controversy.
ADGP S. Sreejith has sought a report from the Sannidhanam special officer about the photoshoot. The Kerala High Court has also criticized the officers involved in the photoshoot at the sacred site, acknowledging their commendable service at Sabarimala but stating such actions are unacceptable -
The Devaswom Bench has also instructed the executive officer to submit a report on the recording of videos using mobile phones in Sabarimala's Thirumuttam and Sopanam areas.
The photograph, taken by the first batch of police officers after their duty, sparked controversy once it was shared on social media.
