Kompally Municipality Accused of Inaction Against Illegal Penthouse

Hyderabad: Officials from Kompally municipality have remained silent for four years to a complaint related to the illegal construction of a penthouse atop a terrace in an apartment complex in Kompally. Work on the penthouse started four years back and the complainants have been alerting the municipal staff ever since but to no avail. The illegal structure is in Venkateshwara apartment at Noble Enclave colony.

Commissioner of the corporation Sri Hari did not initiate any action nor did officials from the urban local body’s town planning wing.

According to the complainant, water from the illegal structure is entering into his flat and creating hardships.

“The demolition order has already been issued but the illegal structure is not being pulled down,” said a resident of the apartment.
