Karimnagar: BJP district unit president Pratap Ramakrishna had a life-saving experience when his smartwatch helped him survive a heart attack in Rajanna Sircilla district.
From the past few days, Ramakrishna, who is 62 years’ old, had been feeling tired frequently even after doing mild work or walking shorter distances. He also suffered pain in the chest. But Ramakrishna thought he suffered from gas.
But on Monday, when he started walking in the morning as a part of his routine workout and exercise, he experienced a sudden and intense chest pain. The smartwatch he had been wearing immediately sent an alert message and suggested immediate medical help.
On seeing the message from his smartwatch, Ramakrishna visited a private hospital at Warangal. After testing, doctors there discovered that two of his blood vessels in the heart had suffered clots. The doctors suggested that he take better treatment in Hyderabad.
Shocked with the test results, Ramakrishna went to Hyderabad and got admitted to Yashoda Hospital. His family members say are thanking the smartwatch for saving the BJP leader’s Ramakrishna.
