Vijayawada: Dr. Srijana Gummalla on Wednesday took over as collector of NTR district.
Speaking on the occasion, she said she would strive for overall development of the district with cooperation from elected representatives and officers.
Srijana had served as sub-collector of Vijayawada between 2015–2016. She expressed happiness to come back as the district collector.
Mentioning diarrhoea outbreak besides spread of seasonal diseases with the onset of monsoon, the collector said drinking water samples will be collected and tested for contamination from time to time in the district. She asserted that quality drinking water will be supplied to households.
Srijana assured highest priority to public health and medical care for the people. She reviewed the functioning of various departments within the collectorate premises.
