Flood relief material worth Rs 35 lakh comprising 18.50 tonnes of rice, 5000 saris, 5000 dhotis and 500 mats were handed over to the DMK’s Puducherry.
Chennai: Flood relief material worth Rs 35 lakh comprising 18.50 tonnes of rice, 5000 saris, 5000 dhotis and 500 mats were handed over to the DMK’s Puducherry unit convener R Siva by the party’s Tiruvallur Central district in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday.
The relief materials were organized by State Minister for Minorities and Overseas Tamils Welfare, S M Nasar, a party press release said. The handing over event took place after Stalin had a discussion with Siva on the ravages of Cyclone Fengal at the DMK headquarters.
