Chennai: Turning the tables on the AIADMK that has been accusing the DMK government of failing to maintain law and order, DMK Organisation Secretary R S Bharathi said that the person arrested in the case relating to a group of men chasing a car with women onboard belonged to the AIADMK.
Addressing the media at the DMK headquarters on Saturday, he said even the car involved in the crime on East Coast Road a few days back belonged to the nephew of Nilgiris District AIADMK secretary. He also listed a few cases in which AIADMK men were involved and said that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami had made it a habit of blaming the DMK for everything.
In the ECR car chase case, the car that followed the women in a menacing manner, which was shot on video and then circulated by the women, had a DMK flag flying on the bonnet and hence it was assumed the men inside the car had some DMK connection.
But now Bharathi’s claim that had only AIADMK connections gives a new twist to the case that had become a talking point on various forums after the video shot by the women went viral on social media.
