Planning commission head meets CM Stalin
Chennai:Executive Vice Chairman of State Planning Commission, J Jayaranjan, submitted four draft policies and five reports and studies on the impact of State Welfare Schemes like the Chief Minister’s Breakfast scheme, Pudumai Penn scheme and Ennum Ezhuthum scheme to the Chief Minister M K Stalin at the Secretariat on Monday in the presence of ex-officio vice chairman and deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The draft policies were on sustainable land use, employment, water, community dog management and regulation and the studies were on Urban Heat Island – Hotspot Analysis and Mitigation Strategies for Tamil Nadu and Opportunities for District Cooling System in Tamil Nadu
The State Planning Commission chaired by the Chief Minister is mandated, among many tasks, to evaluate the flagship programmes of the government, to conduct studies and to prepare policy drafts for the government.
