Chennai: The State Cabinet will meet on Tuesday, February 25, at 12 noon to finalise the State Budget that would be presented in the floor of the House on March 14 reportedly with several attractive features since it would be the last full-fledged Budget to be prepared by the DMK government before the Assembly elections in 2026.
The Government had also called for a meeting with a wide range of stakeholders from industries, MSMEs, Information and Technology, among others on Thursday, 11 am, at the Secretariat to get inputs on their expectations from the government. The meeting will be chaired by State Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu.
Since it would be the last full-fledged Budget, many announcements are expected to be made by the Government as it would have to go to the polls on the strength of the popularity gained through them.
