Tamil Nadu: CM Stalin Visits DMK’s War Room on Cyclone
Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin visited the war room set up in the DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, for providing succor to people affected by the ravages of Cyclone Fengal and spoke to two persons who had complained about problems in their localities by calling the war room’ emergency number 08069446900.
When Stalin called the complainant from Madhavaram who had problems with water stagnation in his locality, he replied that the officials had taken necessary action and the water had drained out. The one who had complained of power cuts in Perambur told Stalin that electricity was being restored after he called the war room.
DMK officials who man the war room respond to calls from the public by contacting the party functionaries at the local level concerned and the complaint is escalated to the officials concerned, who act immediately.
The war room thus helps people to find quick solutions to their problems by acting as the bridge between the authorities and the common people by taking up their issues and ensuring redress of their grievances.
