Tamil Nadu: Dy CM turns nostalgic in MCC campus
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin turned nostalgic at the Madras Christian College campus in Tambaram where he inaugurated a Rs 30 crore worth innovation park in a 45,000 square feet area developed jointly by the MRF and MCC.
‘The campus is very close to my heart because I wrote my entrance exam for going to the US. My TOEFL exams here in this campus in 1996. So I still remember this campus. It is with great pride and honour that I stand before you today to inaugurate the MCC-MRF Innovation Park, he said.
Describing Madras Christian College as one of the proud pillars of Tamil Nadu, he said it had long served the marginalized and the downtrodden students and shaped the future of countless students.
‘I was especially thrilled to hear that this will be the first-ever innovation centre in the country to be set up at an arts and science college, spanning an impressive 45,000 square feet, he said.
He said he was excited to see the wide range of labs and facilities like Computational Informatics Lab, Psychometric Lab, Data Analytics Lab, Business Analytics Lab, and Writers Lab in the park, providing the students of the institution with unparalleled opportunities to enhance their skills and excellence across multiple domains.
‘This innovation park will add yet another feather to the cap of Tamil Nadu’s remarkable achievements,’ he said.
