Tamil Nadu: Vijay To Expand His Cabinet
Vijay is expected to meet the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman: Reports

CHENNAI: Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay would soon expand his Cabinet by roping in representatives from friendly parties that had extended support to the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam in the vote of confidence at the Assembly and enabled the party to form the government.
Initially, two members of the Legislative Assembly from the Congress – probably P Vishwanathan representing Melur and S Rajeshkumar, third time MLA from Killiyoor – are likely to be sworn in as Ministers soon in the first phase of expansion, sources said.
In the second phase of expansion, which is expected only after the Chief Minister returns from his maiden visit to New Delhi to make courtesy calls on national leaders.
Vijay is expected to meet the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during his brief visit to the national capital from May 22.
During the trip, the Chief Minister would discuss issues like financial assistance for the State’s development projects, the fishermen issue and centre-State relations with the Union Ministers and top leaders of the nation.
