Vijay Appoints Ministers In Charge Of Districts

CHENNAI: With a view to monitoring the welfare schemes in the State and ensuring the reach of their benefits to the targeted people, Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay appointed the members of his Cabinet as in-charges in every district with a brief to coordinate with the monitoring officers of the schemes.
The ministers, apart from expediting the development work in the districts assigned to them, would also oversee the relief operations taken up by the government during times of natural disasters and pandemics, an official press release said.
While Chennai and Tiruvannamalai districts have been assigned to Minister Aadhav Arjuna, the senior most member of the Vijay’s ministry, N Anand, would take care of Villupuram and Cuddalore districts. Finance Minister Maria Wilson will be in-charge of Tirunelveli, senior Minister P Venkatraman will take care of Mayiladuthurai and VCK’s Vanni Arasu will take care of Kallakurichi.
K A Sengotaiyan has been given Erode, Industries Minister S Kirthana Krishnagiri, K G Arunraj Tiruppur, Congress representatives P Vishwanath Tiruvarur and S Rajesh Kumar Kanyakumari, while R Nirmal Kumar will be in charge of both Madurai and Theni.
For other districts, the in-charges have been named as follows: Perambalur – Rajmohan, Tiruvallur – R Kumar, Kanchipuram – K Thennarasu, Tirupattur – R V Ranjitkumar, Chengalpattu – T Sarathkumar, Ranipet – V Gandhiraj, Thanjavur – Vinoth, Trichy – Ramesh, Karur – C Vijayalakshmi, Namakkal – T Lokesh Tamil Selva, Niligiris – Kamali, Vellore – M Vijay Balaji, Coimbatore – V Sampathkumar, Pudukkottai – J Mohamed Parvez, Sivaganga – T K Prabhu, Virudhunagar – K Jagedeeswari, Thoothukudi – Srinath, Ramanathapuram – Madan Raja, Salem – Vijay Tamilan Parthiban, Tenkasi – Rajiv and Dindigul K Vignesh.
