Telangana: Inter-state Peddler Held with Ganja Worth Rs.3.50 Lakh

Hyderabad: Secunderabad railway police arrested a member of an inter-state ganja peddling racket and seized 14 kg of ganja worth Rs.3.50 lakh from him, during a surprise check on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Bahan Swalsingh, 38, of Odisha, was arrested while transporting the contraband from Odisha into Telangana, said DSP GRP Secunderabad division S. N. Javed during a press meet.

Another accused Bharat, who accompanied Bahan, is absconding. Both of them had procured the dry ganja from the Muniguda forest area in Odisha from an unknown person on Wednesday, to sell it in Secunderabad at a higher price, the DSP added.
