Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has announced that there will be no water supply in certain areas for 24 hours, starting from 7 am on July 4 due to an emergency power shutdown at the 132KV Peddapur substation.
The shutdown is necessary to replace a 132KV breaker, control and relay panel, and perform isolator overhauling works at the 132KV Kandi substation. The water supply disruption will last from 7 am on July 4 to 7 am on July 5th.
HMWS&SB requested consumers to use water conservatively to avoid inconvenience. The affected areas are Shaikpet reservoir, Borabanda reservoir, Lingampally reservoir commanding areas, Online supplies in Nallagandla, Chandanagar, Huda Colony, and Hafeezpet, Manikonda, Narsingh, Manchirevula), Tellapur, and bulk connections.
The following areas will have low pressure: Bhojagutta, Banjara and Erragadda reservoirs, Jubilee Hills and Somajiguda (Lingampally reservoir commanding area), KPHB and Hydernagar.
