1 dies as stolen bike collides with stationary lorry

Hyderabad: One person died while another was injured when they allegedly rammed the bike they were riding into a stationary borewell lorry in Shamshabad. While the accident occurred on December 29, the deceased succumbed to his injuries at Osmania Hospital on December 31.

According to Shamshabad police, the deceased was identified as Narasimha, who was riding a bike and the injured was identified as Srinivas, the pillion. Both had stolen the bike and were reportedly heading towards Wanaparthy.

The bike, allegedly being driven in a rash and negligent manner, rammed into a stationary borewell lorry that was being repaired at the U-turn near Gandiguda village on NH-44.

A constable was informed by the locals about the accident and on reaching the spot, he shifted the two to Osmania Hospital for treatment. A case was registered and investigations are on.
