10,000 Students Will Be Trained in BFSI, Says Minister Sridhar Babu
The state government’s ‘BFSI-Skilling’ programme, launched for BTech graduates, is receiving an overwhelming response.

Hyderabad: IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu on Sunday announced that 10,000 BTech and degree students will be trained under the ‘BFSI-Skilling’ course each year for the next three years to secure assured jobs in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sectors.
The state government’s ‘BFSI-Skilling’ programme, launched for BTech graduates, is receiving an overwhelming response. An eligibility test for the programmewas conducted on Sunday, and candidates who qualify will undergo comprehensive training at the Young India Skill University (yisu.in) until July this year.
The training covers essential domains such as banking operations, financial markets, insurance, investment banking, software programming, application and database management, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and soft skills. Upon successful completion of the training, placements will be provided in Global Capability Centres (GCCs) related to the BFSI sector, based in Hyderabad.

As part of this vision, the Skill University was established. Sridhar Babu played a key role in introducing industry-aligned courses for Telangana’s youth. Hyderabad’s business-friendly environment is attracting top global companies to establish their GCCs, especially in the BFSI sector.
