13 arrested, issued notices for playing high pitch music in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) along with Sanathnagar police raided Evergreen pub and arrested 13 people, including the bar manager and DJ, in Sanathnagar at 11.30 pm on Tuesday. The pub was raided for reportedly playing loud music without taking permission.
According to Sanathnagar inspector Srinivas, the bar manager who is also the organiser, has been identified as Rupa and the owner of the pub has been identified as Krishna Raju.
However, the owner of the pub was not present at the party. Altogether 11 visitors performing obscene dances were arrested.
“The organiser of the event had sought permission for holding a party on December 31, which was refused. This time they did a party without taking approval. Apart from this, they were playing music beyond the permissible limits and were performing obscene acts,” the inspector said.
A case was registered under Sections 223 (disobeying orders issued by a public servant) and 296 (obscene acts and songs in public places), and Section 70(b) (indecent behaviour in public) of the City Police Act.
The 13 people were taken to the police station and were released later. The notices were also served on them.
