Hyderabad: Telangana fire disaster response emergency and civil defense held its passing out parade (POP) in which 196 driver operators completed their training at disaster response units in Vattinagulapally on Saturday.
Dudilla Sridhar Babu, minister for technology, electronics & communications industries & commerce and legislative affairs was the chief guest for the POP direct recruit driver operators.
As per notification the existing vacancy of driver operators are 225 with total 196 driver operators were reported for training this year and appointment orders were issued by Minister for state on the occasion of direct recruit fireman’s POP on July 26 this year in which 29 personnel were not reported for training due to various reasons, TG –DG fire services Y Nagi Reddy, said.
The training duration of four months completed on August 28 and the state chief minister A Revanth Reddy issued appointment orders for the trained fire department personnel, Nagi Reddy said.
Achievements after formation of TG- total 4836 trainees were trained at state fire, disaster response, emergency and civil defence, Vattinagulapally training centre, Nagi Reddy said.
The new courses were introduced as part of civil defence training to government departments, government undertakings, public sector units, security agencies, employees and occupants of residential and high buildings.
An Advanced flood rescue course was conducted to the in-service personnel to effectively reduce the loss of lives and properties of the citizens of Telangana during the disasters.
Recently 484 direct recruit firemen were trained and POP was conducted in July this year chief minister gave them appointment orders, Reddy said.
Various training programmes were being conducted to the persons other than state government that include local bodies, commercial, industrial establishments and also civilians in the society, Reddy added.
The training institute was recognised as regional training centre by the ministry of home affairs for conducting sub-officers training course, trainees coming from various states and bachelor of engineering (Fire) students of national fire service college, Nagpur, so far two batches have completed their training and the next batch will commence from January onwards, he added.
The training institute is equipped with an advanced Breathing apparatus set gallery for importing training to the in-service personnel of the department.
Constructed an external staircase for Fire Rescue tower at Telangana state fire service & civil defence training institute, Hyderabad for imparting effective firefighting and rescue training.
Developed a new mini parade ground at Telangana fire service & civil defence training institute, Hyderabad for conducting technical drills, PT and squad drills. The training institute is equipped with fixed fire fighting installations to give real time training to the trainees.
The personnel of the department who were trained at the training institute have won the 3rd prize in the water tender drill in the national level competition conducted by the NFSC Nagpur.
The social media account was created to reach people to announce up-coming training sessions, courses and special events.
Fire premier league was conducted to the 1st Batch direct recruit driver operator trainees. Specialized equipment was procured for imparting various training to the trainees, DG further added.
