ACB recovers bribe amount from five arrested persons

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested five persons – two forest department officials and a police circle Inspector along with two constables in connection with separate bribe cases.
In the first case, Uday Kumar, a Forest Range Officer of Komararam Range of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, was caught by the ACB officials at Yellandu when he allegedly demanded and accepted an amount of Rs.30,000 as bribe from the complainant through Nunavath Harilal, a Forest Beat Officer of Komararam Range.
The bribe was demanded for doing an official favour to allow for transportation of gravel from patta land of Azmeera Seetharam to lay a road in a thanda village.
In the second case, Gundemoni Chandra Shekar, a Police Inspector of Makthal Circle in Narayanpet district, was caught when he demanded Rs.40,000 and accepted a bribe amount of Rs.20,000 through police constable Singasani Shiva.
The bribe was first accepted by another police constable Kurva Narsimhulu. The two constables were working in Makthal Circle in Narayanpet. The bribe was accepted from the complainant to do an official favour to reduce the gravity of the rape case booked against him at Makthal police station in 2025, while filing charge-sheet. The ACB officials recovered the tainted bribe amount from the accused in the two cases.
