20-yr-Old Agri Student Dies by Suicide
Police launch an investigation into the apparent suicide of a first-year student at a government agricultural college.

Warangal: A 20-year-old student has been identified as the victim of an apparent suicide at a government agricultural college in Paidipalli village, Hanamkonda, on Wednesday. The college, affiliated with Prof. Jayashankar Agriculture University, reported that first-year BSc agriculture student Rashmitha, a native of Nalgonda district, was found hanging in her hostel room.
According to circle inspector A. Ragavendra, Rashmitha shared her room with three other students. Two of her roommates had left for the Maha Shivaratri festival, while the remaining student had stayed behind after helping with preparations for the upcoming Freshers Day celebrations scheduled for the first week of March.
The following day, college staff discovered Rashmitha’s body hanging from the ceiling and immediately alerted the police. Authorities informed her parents upon arrival, forcibly entered the hostel room, and transported the body to MGM Hospital for a post-mortem examination. An investigation has since been launched, and the case has been registered by the police.
