Hyderabad: A 22-year-old youth died by suicide over alleged failed love relationship at his residence in Jeedimetla on Tuesday night. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Shiva Kumar, 22, working as a driver. The complaint was filed by his elder brother Gokaramma Mahender, 25, an employee working in a private company, and residing in Jeedimetla with his mother and the deceased. As per the complainant, he along with his mother had gone to their native place to celebrate Sankranti on January 6. They were later joined by Shiva Kumar, but he returned to the city before them.
While he was alone at home, he reportedly his friends visiting the house frequently and asking about the love affair. On January 21, Mahender got a call from a friend of the deceased, identified as Nikhil, informing him about his brother’s death by suicide.
Nikhil reportedly entered the house to meet Shiva but he found him dead. In the complaint letter, the deceased’s family said that Shiva had a love affair and the reason behind him taking the extreme step could be the family’s refusal to accept it.
