2,500 Delegates to Attend Lokmanthan 2024, Starting Nov 21
Hyderabad: The fourth edition of the four-day Lokmanthan 2024, the largest Kumbh of nationalist thinkers and practitioners, which is scheduled to begin at Shilapa Kala Vedika on November 21, will provide a platform to engage and deliberate with eminent academicians, thinkers, philosophers, researchers, artists and activists to build bridges among people and spread the message of oneness of ancient civilization.
Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, J. Nanda Kumar, national convener of Pragna Pravah, said that around 2,500 delegates from across the world would take part in the deliberations.
Around 10 pavilions from different states will feature north-east culture, traditional food, traditional healing systems, literature, culture in the form of dance, music, drama and plays, crafts and paintings and traditional games. The Bhagyanagar edition of Lokmanthan 2024 will showcase over 100 art forms and exhibit over 400 traditional music instruments.
A pavilion showcasing spiritual spaces and rituals will bear resemblance to a temple of Ramnami community. There will be a live display of various rituals and practices.
The Ramnami community is a Hindu sect that worships Lord Rama and is known for having His tattoos on their bodies.
President Droupadi Murmu and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will take part in the inaugural function on November 21, while Union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman will chair the valedictory session on November 24.
Former vice-president M. Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the exhibition on November 21. Union ministers Gajendera Singh Shekhwat and G. Kishan Reddy will also take part in Lokmanthan.
