By the time anyone could reach her, she had suffered fatal injuries and succumbed to the attack.

Warangal: Two persons died in separate incidents linked to stray dog attacks in Telangana on Monday. A three-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in Katnapalli village of Sultanabad mandal in Peddapalli district. The child, whose parents are migrant labourers from Odisha working at a brick kiln, was playing outside her house when the dogs attacked and dragged her into nearby fields, where she died of injuries.

In a separate incident, Ryakam Nagaraju, 36, an electrical substation operator working in Mulugu, died after a dog attack near Aleru. Police said he collapsed and suffered severe vomiting after a stray dog charged at him while he had stopped at a petrol bunk on his way to work. He was rushed to hospital but was declared dead while being shifted.
Residents demanded action from authorities to address the stray dog menace and sought compensation for the victims’ families.
