3,832 enumerators begin work in Nalgonda
Nalgonda: A total of 3,832 enumerators on Saturday assumed duties of the caste-based census in 33 mandals and eight municipalities of the district.
The district was divided into 3,970 enumeration blocs with each bloc consisting of at least 150 houses. About 386 supervisors would monitor the survey in the district.
Speaking to media here, district collector Ila Tripathi said that the data collected by the enumerators from the people would be safe and there was no need to fear about their leakage.
Safety and secrecy maintained for the elections would be implemented for the caste census data. The enumerators would come to the houses with questionnaires and request for the details of caste, aadhar cards, bank passbooks and others. Most of the questions were optional and enumerators would not insist on the details, she said.
People should keep in mind that no OTP system in the collection of details for caste census and no URL link would be sent to mobile numbers of people, she added.
She informed that services of 2,835 data entry operators would be taken up for keying in the details of caste census and cyber security would be ensured for the online data to avoid their leakage.
She appealed to people to cooperate with the enumerators when they visit their houses to collect details for the caste census.
