55,143 job vacancies filled up in first year in Telangana: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Sunday said the Congress government filled up an unprecedented 55,143 job vacancies in the first year after voted to power and set an example for the country.
He assured that the recruitment of 563 Group-I posts would be completed by this March. The Congress government has already conducted the Group-I exam after overcoming all the hurdles and conspiracies, he said.
Speaking after distributing cheques given to candidates selected for civils main exam as part of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastham scheme, he said the State government would always strive for the welfare of the youth in the State.
The Congress government was taking necessary steps for recruiting the candidates as per the job calendar, he said, adding that the government was ready to extend necessary help to candidates preparing for civils and further stated that, “We must reach a level where we can proudly say that the highest number of civil services candidates are selected from Telangana in the country.”
He said separate Telangana was achieved for the sake of employment opportunities, and in the last decade, the unemployed suffered a lot after the previous BRS government failed to fill up the vacant posts. In such circumstances, the people’s government came to power.
“Our intention is to make candidates from Telangana excel in civils, just like Bihar, which has the highest number of civil services candidates. We want to give special attention to our candidates from State as well and provide financial assistance to them. Through Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam, we are providing a financial assistance of Rs.1 lakh to help our students prepare for competitive exams like civil services,” he explained.
Revanth Reddy said that Rs.1 lakh was not just a financial assistance, but it should be considered as an encouragement from the government. If one has commitment and hard work, they will definitely achieve success.
“We wish that every person who attends an interview gets selected in civils,” he said. Under the scheme, candidates, who are qualified for the mains exams will be provided with Rs.1 lakh for preparation. The scheme will be helpful to about 400 candidates from Telangana.
