66-yr-old Person Arrested for Theft
Hyderabad: The southeast zone task force and the Chaderghat police arrested 66-year-old Asif Ali Syed on suspicion of theft, and recovered 75 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs.5.92 lakh from him. Syed, a tea stall worker from Bandlaguda, was earlier arrested for 11 house break-ins, said task force additional DCP Ande Srinivasa Rao.
Ingredients for Illicit Liquor Seized
Hyderabad: The special task force of excise police seized 1,050 kg jaggery along with 150 kg garlic and 10 litres of illicit country liquor that were being smuggled in a luxury car in Devarakonda of Nalgonda district on Saturday. The material was being smuggled from Bidar for preparing adulterated country liquor, said excise and enforcement director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy. Driver K. Ramesh was arrested for transporting prohibited material.
One Arrest Leads to Nine Others Arrests
Hyderabad: The arrest of one Akash Singh from Dhoolpet with 21 kg of ganja led to the excise police nabbing nine others. Based on Akash Singh’s information, police arrested sub-peddlers Durgesh Singh, Anand Singh, Shankar Singra and Phul Singh, according to excise director V.B. Kamalasan Reddy
Excise superintendent Anji Reddy said that acting on the information provided by the arrested accused, police arrested Suresh Yadav, Uday Suresh Dali, Sarojit Marida, Rahul Sarkar and Lanka Kumar.
Hyderabad: The southwest zone task force arrested R. Bheem Singh alias Babu of RC Puram and Rakesh Singh of Dhoolpet and seized 6 kg ganja, a bike and mobile phones from them. Task force additional DCP Ande Srinivas Rao said the accused were involved in over seven cases and earlier arrested while transporting ganja.
