Revanth Orders Land Acquisition for RRR
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday ordered officials to start land acquisition for the southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project on the 189.2-km long stretch between Sangareddy and Choutuppal. Since the land acquisition for the northern part of RRR has already been completed to a large extent, the Chief Minister asked officials to focus on the southern part.
During a review of the progress of the RRR project at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Revanth Reddy asserted that the alignment should be done by taking into account the future needs and suggested some changes in the proposed alignment of the southern part. He also asked the officials to undertake a field visit and submit a report on changes suggested by him.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to discuss with the central government if any technical or other problems would arise on the road development and complete the works simultaneously. He instructed officials to hold a review of the progress in the works of the RRR on a daily basis. The officials have been asked to furnish the updated information to him on land acquisition and other issues.
Revanth Reddy also asked the collectors of the districts, through which the Regional Ring Road passes, to brief the Chief Secretary on the progress of the works, land acquisition and other issues every evening.
The Chief Minister said the radial roads should be suitable to connect the ORR and RRR and also useful for the upcoming industries and organisations in the Future City. Before the construction of roads, he said they should be connected to the main roads everywhere.
