Telugu YouTuber and film actor Prasad Behara was arrested by the police following allegations of sexual harassment.
Police said that the victim filed a complaint alleging she has been sexually harassed by Prasad for the last several months. During a shoot, he even behaved inappropriately and "touched her indecently", the report said.
Behara was taken into custody and later sent to remand for 14 days.
The woman acted alongside the actor in a web series. Prasad and the victim also worked in the same YouTube channel.
The complaint also stated the woman and Prasad met during the shooting of a web series when he behaved inappropriately with her. At another time too, he misbehaved and she tried to stop him but was abused.
On December 11, she alleged that Prasad attacked her while returning home from shoot.
It may be recalled that social media influencer Fun Bucket Bhargav also faced similar charges where he was accused of getting physical with a minor girl.
YouTuber and actor Shanmukh Jaswant also faced trouble following drug abuse allegations. Another influencer Vinay Shanmukh was accused of cheating and sexual abuse.
Behara rose to fame with the film Committee Kurrollu. Prasad Behara is gearing up for his upcoming film Bachhala Malli, along with Allari Naresh.
