Adilabad: Come October and the state government will extend the 'Prajavani' programme (complaints redressal at present going on at Prajabhavan) to villages.
The programme will be decentralised and Prajavani centres will be opened at other places in October. With the success of the Prajavani programme in Hyderabad, the government wanted to extend it to villages.
GROs will be appointed in all government departments at district, division and mandal levels for the redressal of the problems faced by people. Information and facilitation centres (IFC) will be opened at the district, division and mandal levels. District nodal officers will be appointed for the implementation of the programme. The collector asked officials to make arrangements for organising Prajvani at identified places.
At the meeting here on Wednesday, collector Rajarshi Shaw said the state government has selected Adilabad district for the pilot project and Prajavani centres will be opened and prgormme conducted at nine places including Boath, Indravelli, Talamadugu mandal headquarters, and Adilabad and Utnoor division headquarters and Muthnur village in Indravelli, Sonala in Boath and Kajjarla in Talamaudgu mandals, ITDA and Utnoor.
The collector said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy wanted to take the administration to the doorsteps of people and resolve their problems.
Technical support from the centre for good governance (CGG) and an online portal will be put in place. The Kisan Mitra, centre for people’s forestry, people for collective development, Deshpande foundation, ‘Safar’ organisations and civil society groups will extend their cooperation to the pilot project.
