Hyderabad: Ahead of Bakrid celebration, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has distributed plastic covers and arranged additional heavy vehicles to transport the animal waste.
"Over 4.5 lakh plastic covers of above 120 microns have been distributed so that people dispose of the animal waste," said a GHMC official. “ We will deploy additional vehicles including the ones of 10 tonne capacity and six tonne capacity on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday,” he added.
The waste will be sent to Jawahar Nagar dump yard. The GHMC has laid special focus on disposal of the animal waste at Charminar zone and parts of Khairatabad zone.
