Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao on Tuesday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of targeting actor Allu Arjun in the Sandhya theatre stampede.
Harish Rao said that it was unfortunate that a woman had died in the incident and asked the Chief Minister, “Why is that no cases were filed when 50 students in gurukul schools died? Why was no case filed against your brother, whose pressure resulted in the suicide of a former sarpanch? Why are there no FIRs in these incidents?”
Harish Rao said there had been no action or reaction so far over the deaths of more than 450 farmers and over 80 autorickshaw drivers, but the Chief Minister and the Congress government acted quickly when it came to targeting Allu Arjun.
“Such targeted attacks, including one by Congress goons on the actor’s house on Monday, will bring disrepute to the state. The Congress government will have to pay a price for such actions,” he averred.
