Allu Arjun Slams Police Conduct During Arrest
HYDERABAD: Telugu actor Allu Arjun, during his arrest in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede tragedy, despite having complied with the legal process, was deeply upset over the manner in which the police conducted his arrest, raising serious concerns about respect for privacy.
Allu Arjun criticised the police for barging into his bedroom early in the morning without giving him time to prepare. The actor reportedly expressed his frustration, stating, “Arresting me is fine, but barging into my bedroom and not letting me change is too much.” He was then allowed time to change and drink coffee and then taken.
The actor was in casual attire and appeared visibly upset when escorted out of his home. In what fans called a “symbolic gesture of defiance,” he asked for a cup of coffee with him during the arrest, which he sipped while smiling and assuring his wife Sneha Reddy, brother Allu Sirish and father Allu Arvind, and maintained composure and control in a tense situation.
Despite being visibly annoyed with the police’s behaviour, Allu Arjun maintained a calm and collected demeanour during the entire process.
The actor’s arrest and his subsequent reaction have sparked widespread debate about the treatment of individuals during legal procedures. While some lauded his composure, others questioned the necessity of such public drama during a high-profile arrest. The incident has also prompted discussions about the line between executing legal duties and respecting an individual’s personal space.
