Hyderabad:The AP forest department, AP Forest Development Corporation Limited (APFDC), and the Bharti Institute of Public Policy at the Indian School of Business (ISB) have signed a tri-party memorandum of understanding (MoU) to transform forest economies and uplift local communities, particularly women, in Andhra Pradesh.
The MoU was signed to leverage digital and geospatial technologies for developing a comprehensive resource inventory of seasonal forest produces (SFPs). The initiative aims to unlock the economic potential of forests while addressing the challenges faced by local communities, particularly women and tribal populations by data-driven approaches.
