Aruna Hails Anticipatory Bail to Lagcharla Farmers
Hyderabad: Mahabubnagar MP and BJP national vice-president D.K. Aruna demanded that the state government lift “false cases” filed against Lagcharla farmers. She cited the Nampally court order granting anticipatory bail to all 24 farmers.
Hailing the farmers’ legal fight against the state government, the BJP’s Mahbubnagar MP said, “The anticipatory bail was granted to farmers by the court after 38 days, and it was a slap on the face of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in the state. The verdict has reposed confidence in the Indian judiciary.”
She also recalled the BJP workers fight against the state government for setting up a Pharma City, as well as extending support to Lagcharla farmers even after several restrictions imposed on the party (read BJP) by the Telangana government.
Aruna also said the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) meeting on Waqf was convened under the leadership of Jagadambika Pal in the Parliament on Thursday, wherein several issues were discussed for inclusion in the report.
