Assault and Trespassing Cases Booked After Neighbours Have TIFF over a Dog
Hyderabad: In an unusual tale of twists and turns following a tiff over a pet dog, alleged abuse and trespassing cases were lodged with the Banjara Hills police. One of the complainants, who was taking care of the neighbour's dog while he was away, stated that the former's father had abused and assaulted her.
In an equally strong complaint, the neighbour complained that the woman had trespassed into their studio, assaulted his father and damaged the office furniture.
The first complainant, Ruchika, 31, an entrepreneur, approached the police stating the alleged perpetrator was Chand Sheik, her neighbour, with whom she had become acquainted a couple of months back.
Sheik, who runs Light and Shadow Studio Production in MLA Colony, owns an imported eight-month old Beagle. She stated that Sheik asked her to take care of the dog as he was going on a tour.
She said that Sheik’s father took the dog away with him. When she asked him to take the dog's medicines too, he allegedly started assaulting and abusing her using vulgar language.
A couple of days later, Sheik filed a counter complaint stating that Ruchika had attempted to steal their dog and had assaulted his father. He added that Ruchika along with her family reportedly assaulted them and causing damage worth lakhs of office furniture.
Talking to Deccan Chronicle, Ruchika said, “If I need a dog, I would have adopted or bought a just born pup with no ailments. I event contacted Dial 100 on the day of the incident and the response I received was ‘oh is it’ and nothing beyond that.”
Cases are registered with Banjara Hills police under criminal force towards a woman, criminal intimidation, trespass and voluntarily causing hurt.
