Back from Delhi, Revanth to focus on local body elections
Reddy and his delegation urged AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge to attend public meetings slated to be held in Medak and Suryapet.

Hyderabad:Taking the ensuing local body elections quite seriously, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who returned to the city on Saturday after a two-day Delhi tour, is all set to ‘activate’ party MLAs, MPs and ministers by entrusting them the responsibility of organising party activities from the village to district levels so as to boost the cadre.
Reddy and his delegation urged AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge to attend public meetings slated to be held in Medak and Suryapet.
The high command reportedly asked the Chief Minister to take the state government policies being implemented in Telangana to the people. They called for priority to party activists, who strove to bring the party to power in Telangana, when it came to offering sarpanch posts. Ministers, MPs and MLAs were directed to visit every village in each constituency to bolster the cadre and solidify its presence at the grass-root level, sources said.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy is likely to convene a meeting with the ministers to chalk out plans on going about the local body elections.
The Chief Minister is to issue a circular to all MLAs asking them to convene meetings with the party cadre and leaders to take the welfare schemes and their positive outcome to the notice of the people.
