Bandi Questions Telangana Govt Calling September 17 'Praja Palana Day'
Hyderabad: By celebrating September 17 as the Telangana Praja Palana Day, the Congress has admitted that its rule in the state was anti-people, said Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
Taking part in the membership drive of the party, Sanjay Kumar toured the areas of gold and cloth traders in Secunderabad and offered prayers at Ujjaini Mahakali temple.
Later speaking to media persons, Sanjay Kumar criticised the Congress government for not fulfilling Six Guarantees, its failure to release job notifications and fill up jobs, failure to announce PRC for the employees and carrying out demolition of houses belonging to the poor by the HYDRAA.
“It is wrong on the part of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to demand people to demolish their illegal structures or face the wrath from the HYDRAA. Instead of taking action against officials who gave permissions, why are poor people being punished,’” he wondered.
On the demolition drive of illegal structures by HYDRAA, Sanjay Kumar said that his party was not against the removal of illegal structures. However, the party will strongly resist if the houses of poor and middle-class houses are being demolished by the HYDRAA, he said.
