Bandi Sanjay’s Son Gets Interim Bail in POCSO Case

Hyderabad: A local court on Saturday granted interim bail to Bandi Sai Bageerath, son of Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, till June 25 to write his examinations and to attend to a family member who is ailing. Bageerath, arrested in a Pocso Act case for allegedly raping a minor, was arrested on May 16 and lodged in the Cherlapally Central Prison.
Cyberabad police officials on Saturday confirmed that the interim bail had been granted by the court and that Bageerath would be taken back into custody on June 25 after the completion of his examinations
Petbasheerabad police had registered the case on May 8 based on a complaint by the victim and her family members. A special investigation team had earlier questioned Bageerath on the circumstances of his meeting with the minor victim and what followed at a farmhouse in Moinabad.
