Bandi slams Cong for restrictions on festivals
Hyderabad:Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar charged that the Telangana government was consistently carrying out attacks on the state culture by removing Bathukamma from the hands of Telangana Talli and starting a campaign that gives an impression that Bathukamma is not a festival.
In his social media account `X’, Sanjay expressed concern that the folk culture has been missing out from state festivals in reference to the recent use of drones and technology during the December 9 celebrations.
He questioned shortage of laddu prasadam at Basara temple and poor quality prasadam at Kumaravelli temple, while calves offered by devotees at Vemulawada temple were missing. The State government has imposed restrictions on festivals while incidents of attacks on temples have increased after the Congress came to power in the state, he said.
