Bandi slams Oppn for conspiring against Modi under delimitation

Bandi did not hold back as he cited ongoing liquor scandals in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, accusing the involved parties of deep-rooted corruption

KARIMNAGAR: In a vehement address at a felicitation event for newly elected MLCs Malka Komaraiah and Chinnamile Anji Reddy by the Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Union (TPUS) Teachers' Union in Karimnagar on Sunday, Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar levelled severe accusations against Congress, BRS, DMK, AAP, and CPM. He charged the Opposition with conspiring against the Modi government under the guise of “delimitation.”

Bandi did not hold back as he cited ongoing liquor scandals in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, accusing the involved parties of deep-rooted corruption. “The Stalin government is embroiled in a Rs. 1,000 crore liquor scam, and Kerala is facing a similar crisis. Leaders from AAP and BRS have already been arrested. This coalition is merely creating political drama to divert attention from their own misdeeds,” he declared.

The minister also condemned a proposal from a meeting chaired by Stalin in Chennai, which advocated for South India to receive 36 per cent representation in Parliament based on its GDP. “What does GDP have to do with parliamentary representation? Under such a metric, underdeveloped regions like Asifabad and Adilabad in Telangana would be marginalised. This is nothing but a political stunt designed to obstruct the delimitation process,” he asserted.

While lauding TPUS for its unwavering commitment to teachers' welfare, Bandi urged educators to join the union, calling it “the only organisation fighting for teachers’ rights, even at the cost of hardship and imprisonment.” He further lambasted the BRS government in Telangana for financial mismanagement, highlighting rising state debt and unfulfilled promises to teachers, employees, and retirees, including long-pending Dearness Allowance (DA) dues.

“The Congress and BRS have utterly failed the people of Telangana. They made promises but delivered nothing,” he declared, vowing that the BJP is poised to lead Telangana into a new era. “The people are angry, and the forthcoming elections will mark the end of Congress and BRS rule. We are ready to bring about the change that Telangana desperately needs,” he concluded.
