Bandi takes charge as Union Minister of State for Home Affairs
New Delhi: Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday took charge as Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs, admid vedic chants at his office in New Delhi.
“On taking charge as Minister of State in Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), I would like to thank you each one of you for being on my side and my support system,” he said in a tweet.
In the tweet, he further stated, “These doors opened only because of support from my leader PM Shri @narendramodi ji, Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji, party chief Shri @JPNadda ji, @BJP4India, @BJP4Telangana cadre, media, social media warriors and most importantly people of Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency. I earnestly request you to continue to support me in my service.”
Sanjay won from Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency with a margin of 2.25 lakh defeating Congress candidate V Rajender Rao. During Lok Sabha elections 2024, everyone expected a three-way contest among Sanjay, Rao and BRS candidate B Vinod Kumar. But Sanjay defeated his rival candidate with a margin of 2.25 lakh votes.
