Students at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Basar staged a protest on Sunday demanding the reinstatement of the student governing council.
The students held placards and appealed to the authorities to allow them to form a council to address their pending issues.
They have been trying to establish a channel for communication with the administration, but the IIIT Basar management has not been receptive to their requests.
The previous student council was dissolved by the administration, apparently in an attempt to prevent protests on campus.
