BC quota report: KTR demands apology from Rahul
The payback, Rama Rao warned, will not just be in the upcoming local body elections in Telangana but in every other election in the state henceforth.

Hyderabad: The BRS on Wednesday demanded an unconditional apology from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to the BC communities in Telangana for “the dishonest effort of the Congress and chided Rahul Gandhi for presenting this half-baked report in the Assembly” by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
In an open letter to Rahul Gandhi, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said the caste census findings presented in the Assembly on Tuesday was “riddled with errors and blunders and it was a ploy by the Congress government to misguide the Assembly.” The report, Rama Rao said, made it “very clear that the Congress has zero interest towards giving 42 per cent reservation to BCs in the upcoming local body polls. Fudging the data to show decline in BC population is nothing but backstabbing of the BC community. The malicious intention of the Congress party is an absolute mockery of the BC communities.”
Rama Rao further told Rahul Gandhi that he, “without cross checking the facts, without understanding the ground realities, without taking any responsibilities, spoke about this report in the Parliament. This is absolutely shocking and even worse is that you are pushing to implement the same in the country. To reduce the BC population in official records is not a blunder but a testimony to your lack of commitment.”
The payback, Rama Rao warned, will not just be in the upcoming local body elections in Telangana but in every other election in the state henceforth. “Since it is now clear that you never had any intention or inclination towards fulfilment of the promised 42 per cent reservation, you should tender an unconditional apology,” Rama Rao told Rahul Gandhi.
