Be wary of BJP's AA tax, caution Priyanka, Revanth

HYDERABAD: Wrapping up hectic campaigning for Lok Sabha elections in Telangana on Saturday, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy cautioned the voters to be wary of BJP, which if it comes to power, will amend the constitutions and abolish reservations being extended to SCs, STs, OBCs and minorities. They appealed to voters to bring Congress to power to protect the constitution and reservations.

The two leaders addressed roadshows in Patancheru in Medak Lok Sabha constituency, Tandur in Chevella Lok Sabha constituency and Kamareddy in Zaheerabad Lok Sabha constituency on the last day of
campaigning.

Priyanka Gandhi lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of collecting "AA tax" (Ambani-Adani tax) from people for the last ten
years to benefit his 'rich friends'. She also accused Modi of prioritising the interests of big corporates over the welfare of the poor, middle class, small businessmen, farmers, and labourers.

She alleged that Modi worked for his ‘friends’ and not the common man. She said that Modi was whipping up communal passions to win elections but he should know that India moves on the path of love,
non-violence and truth, she said. She called upon people to say goodbye to Modi government and ensure a democratic government at the Centre.
Priyanka criticised Modi for distributing the wealth of the nation, including coal, power, airports and ports to his corporate friends. Modi waived off `16 lakh crore to the businessmen and never waived off
the debts of people or farmers, she said.

As people voted Modi to power for two terms, he gave a return gift of hate, unemployment, hike in prices of essential commodities, demonetisation of currency notes and GST, she said.

Modi cheated all sections of people, including women and youth adding that people of Telangana should send a strong message to Modi by defeating the BJP.

Priyanka Gandhi said that Rahul Gandhi had walked 4000 km for Bharat jodo yatra for the people. Unable to digest his honest and hard
work, the BJP government implicated false cases against him and threw him out from parliament and residential quarters, she said. To end the autocratic rule of Modi and protect the constitution, people should support Congress candidates in Parliament elections, she said. ‘Your (voters) decision would bring a sea-change in government’, she said.

Revanth Reddy termed Lok Sabha polls as a fight between families led by Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi. He said the Modi family consists of the CBI, ED, Delhi police and Income-Tax department, Rahul's family has Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, me
and lakhs of Congress activists, he said.

Revanth Reddy alleged that Modi is trying to abolish reservations and change the constitution. He called upon people to defeat Modi pariwar and elect Rahul pariwar.
