Hyderabad: A shocking event in Hyderabad has been reported by a 29-year-old software engineer from Bengaluru, claiming that she was allegedly raped by a man she met on social media. The accused had offered to help her in finding a job at a private consultancy in Vengalrao Nagar, where the alleged assault took place.
When the victim, who had just lost her job in Bengaluru, connected with the accused, she was actively looking for work online. He convinced her to move to Hyderabad by promising her a job and helping her with her resume. The married IT specialist relocated to the metropolis, having faith in his words.
Upon arriving, the accused enticed the victim to the consultancy office, where he allegedly raped her. The woman reported the complaint to Borabanda police a few days ago. The assault allegedly took place in June.
Rumours have surfaced regarding a potential connection between the accused and the consultancy. The victim had not given a formal statement despite the seriousness of the incident, according to the police, possibly for personal or fearful reasons.
