Bhadradri-Kothagudem: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned late last night inside a graveyard at New Gollaguda in Kothagudem district.
The case came to light when a person heard the child crying in the graveyard and informed police. Kothagudem Town-III police reached the spot and transported the baby to Mother and Child Hospital. After a comprehensive health check-up, officials handed her over to the district child protection officer, who subsequently moved her to Shishu Gruha following procedural formalities.
Authorities are now carefully reviewing CCTV footage in the immediate vicinity to identify and apprehend whoever irresponsibly abandoned the newborn baby inside the graveyard.
