Ravinder demanded bribe to process the transfer of Rs.30,000 under Central government’s Rani Lakshmi Bhai Athma Raksha Prashikshan, a self defence program. The amount was sanctioned by the government as honorarium to the complainant.
The ACB officials said Ravinder demanded the amount on the pretext that the amount would be utilized for providing snacks and nutritious food to children. The bribe amount of Rs. 20.000 was recovered from his possession.
The chemical test yielded a positive result on both hands of Ravinder along with his inner flap of the right-side pocket of the trousers. Details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons, officials said.
